Jo is passionate about creating lovely outside spaces that people want to be in. She is empathic and focused on what her clients really want to feel from their garden and how it is going to work for them. Each design is bespoke and Jo does not have a particular style but takes inspiration from her clients, the site locality, and plants.
Jo worked on 20 episodes of BBC’s Garden Rescue with Charlie Dimmock and the Rich Brothers which gave her an invaluable experience of what it takes to construct and plant a garden.
Jo is a pre-registered member of The Society of Garden Designers, the only professional association for garden designers in the UK. This membership recognises Jo’s professional qualification and competence to work to a professional standard. All members of the society are bound by the Society’s Code of Professional Conduct and Good Practice.
In a previous life Jo worked for West Midlands Police for 14 years Jo decided to pursue a dream and in 2017 obtained her RHS Level 2 qualification in Horticulture and never looked back.
Jo Hobbs Garden Design collaborates with homeowners in the West Midlands, South Staffordshire, Worcestershire, and Shropshire to create whole garden designs, from paper to planting.
