Bekstone - 2011 West Oxford Business Awards

Bekstone reached the finalist stage of the 2011 West Oxford Business Awards for the 'Green Sustainability' category.

Able to clearly demonstrate achieved and measurable improvements in reducing energy consumption and carbon emissions, Bekstone was nominated by West Oxford Business Awards for thier stunning environmental performance in 2010.

The nomination by WOBA was in recognition of the importance Bekstone places on integrating sustainability into the core of it's operations. Bekstone's commitment to the environment runs throughout the entire organisation, the factory and offices use green electricity supplied from renewable resources and all our manufacturing processes use reclaimed aggregate and recycled water reducing the draw on natural resources.

In 2010 Pavestone, the parent company of Bekstone, became one of a handful of companies to become a standard bearer of the Carbon Trust.

The Carbon Trust Standard is awarded to companies who successfully demonstrate reduced carbon emissions.
